Hi, my name is Polly Hougham. I am a teacher from Port Orange, Florida. I have been teaching for twenty-seven years. I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, a Master's Degree in Specific Learning Disabilities, and a Doctorate in Elementary Education. I am currently teaching at Horizon Elementary Education in Port Orange, Florida, where I "loop" with my students (keep the same students for two years). I have taught in many different areas and at a variety of levels. I am looking forward to working with other educators interested in the integration of technology and education.

Horizon Elementary

I was born and raised here in Florida, one of the few true natives. I currently live in Ormond Beach and teach at Horizon Elementary in Port Orange. My classroom is a looping classroom, where I have a group of students for two years, beginning in 4th grade and ending at 5th grade. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida and I am working towards by Master's at UCF. This is my 8th year of teaching, all here at Horizon. I've enjoyed incorporating my limited technology expertise into lessons with my students and I am excited about taking my kids even further.

Doug joined the Career Connections to Teaching with Technology Grant (CCTT) in the Spring of 1999. He has 16 years of experience in education at the Elementary, Middle School and High School levels. He has taught in Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida and overseas for the Department of Defense Dependant Schools. For the past four years, he has worked with the administrative side of curriculum and technology implementation.
