Day 2: Monday, July 10

8:00		Approaches to Layering Instruction: Match instructional approach to instructional goals Anticipation Guide Approaches to Inquiry Matching approach to instructional goal Practice with inquiry
9:30		Sequence the Lessons Determine instructional goals and approach to instruction Develop knowledge and skills so students reach understanding Assure that lesson sequence allows students to demonstrate understanding (performance assessment)
11:00		Write abstracts of lessons (see model and components
Noon		Working lunch Work at a table with one other team Share and constructively critique work on lesson sequence and abstract
Afternoon		We plan to complete work by 3 p.m. on Monday
