Activity is a visit to a native plant culture in the wetland ecosystem of Rose Bay. Visit the Native Americans and the plants that were there before the Europeans transported other plants into the area that surrounds Rose Bay area. Then learn the facts of the plant's of the 1700"s and the environment they lived in. This activity will take you through the environemtn of the native plants of the area that the Native American or Timucuans subsited on. Talking about the differences that go with the plant culture when other animals and plants are transported in. The objective of this activity is to give students insight into the Native plant culture from the realistic viewpoint of the Timucuans and Europeans. AStudents will learn how Timucuans lived and worked with the nature. As an integral part of a thematic unit.
