Abstract  (help)


Once students have excavated the text, researched the thematic circumstances the novel provides, organized what they have discovered into a web authored file, they will present their file to the class in order to gain a sense of value for what they have created and to be able to compare the stylistic decisions they made with those of peers.

Standard 11. Students participate as knowledgeable, reflective, creative, and critical members of a variety of literacy communities. Standard 12. Students use spoken, written, and visual language to accomplish their own purposes (e.g., for learning, enjoyment, persuasion, and the exchange of information).

Students must understand the web authored file they created and they must be able to present it to their peers with explainations of stylistic decisions made.
